…Senator Adabayo Sikiru Osinowo died on June 15, 2020
The Senate on Tuesday observed a minute silence to honour the late senator from Lagos East Senatorial Constituency in the National Assembly, Senator Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo.
This was disclosed on Tuesday on the official Twitter handle of The Nigerian Senate @NGRSenate by, Ezrel Tabiowo the Special Assistant (Press) to the President of the Senate.
Recall that the lawmaker died on June 15, 2020 after a brief illness.

It was the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege that chaired the Red Chamber under which plenary was adjourned till Wednesday, July 1, 2020, in agreement with its tradition.
The motion for adjournment was moved by the Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi (APC – Kebbi North), immediately after the Votes and Proceedings were adopted by the Senate.
“In accordance with our tradition, I hereby move that the Senate observe a minute silence, adjourn plenary in his honour and suspend all legislative activities till Wednesday, the 1st of July,” Yahaya Abdullahi moved.
The motion for the adjournment was seconded by the minority Leader, Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP – Abia South).
