…School boarding activities are excluded
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that the graduating students in Senior Secondary and Technical Schools will resume on August 3.
The governor disclosed this on his verified personal Twitter handle @jidesanwoolu on Friday.
According to him, their resumption is in line with the guidelines from the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
He, however stated that the resumption must align with public health guidelines and protocols put in place in the state to curtail the spread of the pandemic.
“This resumption will be strictly monitored and must follow established public health guidelines and protocols in the State. The permission to re-open only applies to day-schools. Boarding activities are excluded,” he tweeted.
The governor explained further that primary six pupils will be promoted to secondary based on their performances of their recorded Continuous Assessment (CA).
He also urged the tertiary institutions to continue their online academic activities.
“Instructions for JSS3 will come soon as we continue to consult. Our tertiary institutions are to continue their online academic activities which are at various advanced stages,” he added.
