Olu Jacobs, popular actor is not dead as many falsely claims
On Tuesday, 9th of June, 2020, Nigerians all of a sudden took to their social media handles to spread fake news concerning popular Nigerian actor, Olu Jacobs.
This news was never verified and must have been spread by some really jobless Nigerians.
They did not at all stop at little, they rather went on to publicise news about the death of much-loved actor.
The fake news has however been aborted as Kemi Lala Akindoju, popular Nollywood actress took it upon herself to see to the welfare of Olu Jacobs and stop further spread of the fake news.
She took to her Twitter handle and tweeted: “Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so. I just got off the phone with him. Please stop spreading fake news.”
Some Nigerians simultaneously express their distaste at the confident spread of false news by Nigerians. See tweet below:
How and where this false news started to spread, no one can tell. Perhaps it’s one of the ways Nigerians have adopted to help stem the COVID-19 boredom.
