FG: Cessation of movement is one of the preventive measures
The Federal Government says it might shut down 11 local government areas within the state due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in those local government areas.
The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 came up with this decision on Monday and it was also said that the local government authorities would be the ones to monitor the lcokdown.

The numbers recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in the local government areas include:
Mainland -1274
Eti Osa – 403
Alimosho – 239
Kosofe – 175
Ikeja – 168
Oshodi/Isolo – 132
Apapa – 131
Lagos Isaland – 111
Amuwo Odofin – 129
Surulere – 110
Restriction on movement and many other guidelines will be laid down to curb the spread of the virus in the areas.
This effort by the Federal Government is in a bid to fight the virus without draining the economy completely.
