Nigeria COVID-19 death has risen to 85 from 68 on Friday. This is even as the number of new infections stood at 220 across the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,388, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control tally.
According to the NCDC update on Saturday night, of the new infections, 62 are in Lagos, 52 are in the FCT, while 31 are in Kaduna.
Sokoto recorded 13 new cases, Kebbi had 10 while Yobe had 9. Borno recorded 6 new cases, Edo recorded 5 cases, while Bauchi and Gombe recorded 5 and 4 cases, respectively.

Oyo, Zamfara and Sokoto recorded 6, 5 and 5 cases, respectively. Enugu and Oyo recorded 4 cases each, while Zamfara recorded 3 cases.
Other states with new infections include Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano and Plateau which recorded 2 cases each.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has also risen to 385.
