FG has asked Minister of Transportation to ensure strict followance of lockdown rules against the lifting of interstate travels ban
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has sad that the ban on interstate travels mght be lifted come next week.
At the press briefing on Monday, the National Coordinator of the Taskforce, Dr Sani Aliyu made it known that once all bus termini are sanitised and disinfected, the roads will be opened.
It was also said that the guidelines subitted by the Minister of Transportation, Mr Gbemisola Saraki would be reviewed and the decision on interstate travels would be decided upon.
The minister has been asked to ensure that all motor parks should be monitored and that policies which includes physical distanving, hand sanitising, wearing of face masks, etc. should be followed.

He was also told to ensure that cars do not carry more than the stipulated number of passengers.
The Federal Government hopes that the roads will be safe to open soon and that the rates of COVID-19 cases does not increase as a result.
