D’banj demands public apology within 4 days
Nigerian pop star D’Banj has threatened legal action against Seyi Babatayo for accusing him of rape, unless the latter apologises publicly within 4 days.
In addition to the public apology, which must be published in at least four national dailies, D’Banj is also demanding the payment of N100 million from Miss Babatayo, according to a letter addressed to Miss Babatayo’s lawyer.
Recall that Miss Babatayo had accused the pop start of allegedly raping a young lady sometime in 2018 at Eko Hotel.
Surprisingly, the singer maintained an uncomfortable silence since the accusation surfaced, but he said he has now decided to respond to protect his reputation and before people will begin to mistake his silence for guilt.

D’banj says that the accuser only sought to tarnish his image and ruin his marriage as he was well married during the time of the alleged rape.
