Lagos is trailed by the FCT and Rivers in new cases table
Nigeria’s commercial centre and most populated southern city, Lagos has recorded the highest number of new coronavirus cases.
The state, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 128 new infections out of the total 315 new positive cases recorded by Nigeria on Monday.
NCDC disclosed this in a tweet on Monday night, disclosing tha the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now stands at 12,801.
According to the health agency, Lagos State is trailed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Rivers State with 34 and 32 cases respectively.

A further breakdown of the new cases showed that Edo State has 28 infections, Oyo (22), Kaduna (20), Gombe (13), Ogun (8) and Plateau (5).
Others are Delta (7), Kwara (7), Kano (5), Bauchi (4), and Katsina (2).
Of the number of positive cases in Nigeria so far, 4040 persons have fully recovered and have been discharged while 361 persons have died.
