…The man died as a result of multiple injuries suffered

A car in the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff on Monday has allegedly hit a man riding a motorcycle along Yahya Madaki Way, Katsina.

The account of the incident, which occurred on Monday, was narrated by Nigerian investigative journalist, Mr. Fisayo Soyombo.

The man, identified as Alhaji Salisu, according to eyewitnesses after being overrun by the said military car along Kiddies Roundabout, was rushed to the General Hospital Katsina where he was confirmed dead at exactly 5:45PM.

“Salisu suffered multiple fractures on his arms and legs and very deep cuts to his dead. Roughly two hours after he was pronounced dead, the 17 Brigade Army unit eventually sent some representatives to the hospital to enquire about him, but they were referred to the police division handling the case,” Soyombo wrote on Twitter.

The man was said to have been sharing the invitation of his daughter’s wedding that was to hold in a few days when the reckless action by the driver claimed his life.

Yesterday, in Katsina, a car in the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff hit a man on his bike and never stopped to check on him.

He was rushed to General Hospital Katsina where he was certified dead at exactly 5:45pm. The wedding of this man’s daughter is just a few days away
