…Acting EFCC Chairman is being interrogated by DSS
The Acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, has been arrested by men of the Department of State Security (DSS).
His arrest was confirmed by a source at the EFCC Headquarters in Abuja.

He was arrested on Monday afternoon and he is being interrogated at the DSS Headquarters In Aso Drive.
Media aide to Magu says the EFCC boss was not arrested
However, the Special Assistant to on Media, Tony Amokeodo, has clarified on Monday that the EFCC boss was only summoned to answer interrogations regarding the charges levelled against the commission.
According to him, Magu was called to appear before a panel of the Federal Government set up to investigate the allegations of corruption levelled against him.
The EFCC boss’ media aide said the panel is sitting at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
DSS claims it did not arrest Magu
While reacting to the incident, DSS Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, said the Service did not arrest Magu.
Afunanya, in an official statement, said the DSS has since been flooded with inquiries over the reported arrest of Magu, stressing that the Service has no link with the incident.
