…Tinubu insists meeting was to move the party forward
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has said the party has no crisis, and as such, there is no need for a reconciliation exercise.
Tinubu disclosed this after the Caretaker Committee members of the ruling party, APC met with him in a private meeting in his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos on Thursday.
After the meeting, the former Lagos State governor said the visit was a discussion to thrust the party forward following the recent differences among some aggrieved members.
He, however, repudiated any report of differences or rancour, although he said there was no way there would not be an opposition in a political association.
Yobe State Governor and APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mai Mala Buni, as well as his Kebbi State counterpart and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Atiku Bagudu, led other members of the party to the meeting.
Others in attendance were the Secretary of APC Caretaker Committee, Senator Akpan Udo-Edehe, and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
