The action is inappropriate and not constitutionally accepted, anti-corruption agencies says
The Transparency International and the Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership have chastised the lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly over wives’ alleged N80M Dubai trip.
Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the House said that the event was an open one and that it did not involve any sort of corrupt practices. He said that the stste is free to look into the case and any corrupt practices that have been levelled against him.
He also said that N4M was given to each person to aid their survival in the country.
According to him, the Lagos State House of Assembly is one that supports learning at all cost.

The Head of the Transparency International,Auwal Musa, AKA Rafsanjani in Nigeria however said that the training was not a justification for spending such huge amunt of money when the nation’s education and health sector needed more attention and more money.
Rafsanjani also said that the action of the legislators were a reflection of what was happening in many parts of the country.
Similarly speaking, the Chairman of CACOL said that the action is not hustifiable as there is no law that states that money should be spent on lawmakers wives who are not elected officials.
It was also said that only 20 out of the supposed 37 women were sent on the trip. What then happened to the remaining 17?
It was concluded upon that the matter was going to be investigated properly as Mudashiru Obasa had only implicated himself and others as their action is not in any way justifiable.
